Learn How To Type!

May 7th, 2022

It’s Saturday, May 7, 2022, and time for Other Electives at ClickSchooling!

Teaching.com – Typing.com

Grades 4 & up, with parental supervision

This ad-supported website offers a complete typing course (for beginners to advanced students) absolutely free! (Registration is recommended to save your progress.)

The program supports all major international keyboard formats, and displays key position and proper finger placement to help keep beginners from looking at their hands. In addition to practice exercises, there are several typing games that reinforce skills while they entertain.

Helpful tips are constantly provided to reinforce proper typing techniques. Typing tests are provided and students can track their progress (if registered) with detailed graphs and statistics. As a student progresses, the program “learns” which keys cause the most difficulty and creates custom lessons focusing on the student’s top 5 most troublesome letters. When a student completes a lesson, they earn a virtual trophy.

As we mentioned, this program is ad-supported which is why it’s free. If you don’t want the ads displayed, there is a reasonable fee option to remove the ads.

Practice Math & Feed The Hungy

April 25th, 2022

It’s Monday, April 25, 2022, and time for Math at ClickSchooling!

FreeRice.com: Math

(freerice.com/categories)

Grades 1-12, with parental supervision

Test your Multiplication Tables and Basic Math (Pre-Algebra) skills and earn food for the hungry!

Scroll down to Math and choose from:

  • Multiplication Table
  • Basic Math – PreAlgebra
  • Derivatives
  • Geometry

Click on your choice to get to the quiz. FreeRice automatically adjusts to your level of ability as you take each quiz. It starts by giving you math equations at different levels of difficulty and then, based on how you do, assigns you an approximate starting level. You then determine a more exact level for yourself as you play. When you get a math problem wrong, you go to an easier level. When you get three problems in a row right, you go to a harder level. This one-to-three ratio keeps you challenged to encourage learning.

You can set your own level and you can even have the site remember your total from the last time you were there if you create an account.

And, with every right answer, you donate ten grains of rice through the UN World Food Program to help end hunger. This is made possible by the sponsors who advertise on this site.

The site has expanded to include quizzes in other subjects:

  • English
  • Geography
  • Humanities
  • Language Learning
  • Science
  • And more

If you have more questions, check out the About section. This is a fun and ingenious idea that will motivate kids to practice math while helping others.
