Take a virtual field trip to Old Fort Niagara in Youngstown, New York at the mouth of the Niagara River.
When you arrive at the site, you’re ready for your Virtual Tour! The page, via photos and reading, will help you navigate the fort grounds and points of interest.
Highlights include:
- French Castle – includes views of the Commandant’s quarters, Jesuit Chapel, Soldier’s Barracks, trade room, and officer’s mess
- Bake House – Explore the workspace for the fort baker.
- The River Defenses – view of the river from cannon station
- Powder Magazine – Discover the storage space for ammunition and gun powder.
- North Redoubt – Examine the British 1770’s addition to Fort Niagara’s defenses.
