Age Range: All (All grades; children with parental supervision)

Forty years ago on Monday, Mount St. Helens erupted spewing volcanic ash for miles. This website offers 360 degree panoramic images of the Mt. St. Helens volcano as it looks more recently.

When you get to the site, you see the instructions on how to view the panoramic images. Then use the scroll bar to move down and read about:

  • Spirit Lake
  • Ape Cave
  • Johnston Ridge Observatory

And to the right you can read some Fun Facts and see the satellite map of the area.

This is a great way to see the view from the top without hiking in and back out again for almost 10 miles.
