When you get to the site, you’ll see the article “Pumpkin Fun!” – with all kinds of ideas for learning with pumpkins. Then scroll down to Pumpkin Language Arts to see a link to “Pumpkin Circle: The Story of a Garden Lesson Plan”. Don’t miss “Pumpkins in Children’s Literature” where you can read the poem, “Peter, Peter Pumpkin Eater” and your child can color the picture online.

To find a pumpkin farm near you visit this website. When you get to the site you’ll see a picture of pumpkins with a search box under it. Simply enter your zip code or city and state and a new screen opens with pumpkin farms and patches near you. Click on any one listed and a new page opens with information on that farm, visiting hours, directions, any fees, etc.
