Funded by the National Science Foundation and produced by the University of California Museum of Paleontology, the United States Geological Survey and others, this website offers a free “portal” to resources and interactive lessons that help students learn geology and paleontology

At the website, select from one of the following destinations

 

  • Exploring Time & Space – Discover the geology and paleontology of the United States, Canada, or Mexico.
  • Fossil Gallery – View fossil images of plants, fungi, invertebrates, vertebrates, and more.
  • Famous Flora & Fauna – Click on an interactive map to learn about significant North American fossil finds.
  • K-12 – This section is a TREASURE TROVE of links to interactive resources that help students fully appreciate paleontology by exploring plate tectonics, geologic time, and fossil records.  Don’t miss the fun and informative interactive called “What Did T.
