Food Network: Candy Corn

Age Range:  All (with parental supervision)

Packages of “Candy Corn” line store shelves at this time of year. But how do they make those little tri-color, triangular-shaped sweets?  The Food Network provides a terrific video that explains all of the components that go into manufacturing a simple batch of “Candy Corn.”

When you get to the site, the video will launch automatically. It starts with a randomly generated commercial, so parents (as always) should supervise viewing. Once the commercial is over, you can watch the presentation on how “Candy Corn” is made by the Goelitz Candy Company (the company that also makes Jelly Bellies).
