Don’t miss this website that offers a series of free videos on getting “Nature Smart,” the importance of a nature education, sustainable living practices, and developing community.

To provide some context, my sons enjoyed a wonderful nature program for homeschoolers developed in collaboration with renown naturalist, Jon Young.  Recently, Jon’s son, Aidan (who was unschooled all of his life) sent this message:

“I never take the time to forward videos, but I feel that the upcoming video series being shared by Jon Young (my father) is one of most powerful messages about the value of Nature Connection in our lives that I have ever seen. I have been very fortunate to grow up close to nature since birth and I have never been able to express the value of that connection to others very well, even though it is one of the most important parts of my life. I think that these videos express it better than I ever could.”

The videos Aidan refers to are being offered in free installments at the website featured in this review.  Only the first two videos have been released so far. You can watch them at the website where you can also subscribe to a newsletter and get notices as each video is released for viewing.

These videos deliver a powerful message about the importance of nature education.  They were designed to promote a nature studies course that is not yet available, but you don’t have to purchase a thing to watch the thought-provoking videos.

Plus, you can download a free guidebook (pdf) to the first video called, “A Hopeful Vision.”  It’s a sample of the upcoming online course in getting “Nature Smart.”
