While this is a commercial site to encourage tourism, there is so much of educational value that it’s a must see. However, because it is a commercial site, parents (as always) should take some time to preview it to determine suitability of all of the content — such as suggestions for hotels, shopping, and nightlife.
The site includes some video clips and uses humor to actively show travelers aspects of Chinese culture in which they can participate. Find out how to ride a bike with the masses, navigate the subway system, take a taxi without speaking Chinese and find your way to the restroom.
Scroll down the menu to find information on Chinese culture and food. Don’t miss the Chinese language lessons. Learn to count, exchange money, ask for directions, and order from a menu in Chinese!
