At this website you can learn all about butterflies and take a virtual tour of a beautiful habitat created for them at the Victoria Butterfly Gardens. Not only will you be introduced to over 25 varieties of butterflies, but you can learn about the plants that nourish them. You can also meet some of the birds that inhabit the garden. When you get to the site — in order to take the tours of the 8 different gardens, click on the words “virtual tours” on the menu on the left side of your screen. A new window wills open that allows you to see a panoramic view of the gardens. Use your keyboard and mouse to zoom in and out, as well as control the direction of the view. Some of the gardens provide better views of the butterflies than others.

When you are through visiting the gardens, use the menu to learn more about the butterflies, plants and birds. If you click on “butterflies” on the menu — a new page opens with pictures of all of the species that live in the Victoria Butterfly Garden. Click on any individual picture, and a new page opens with detailed information about that particular butterfly. Don’t forget to explore the life cycles of butterflies by clicking on “life cycles” under “categories” on the menu bar.

This is a fascinating virtual trip the whole family will enjoy — and you can share it with someone else by sending them a colorful virtual postcard right from the website!
