This website offers a virtual walking tour through one square mile of historic Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. You’ll see the Liberty Bell, Independence Hall, Christ Church, the home of Besty Ross, the first Bank of the U.S., and even the Edgar Allan Poe National Historic Site! You can virtually visit all kinds of museums and historical landmarks.

When you get to the site just click on the arrows to begin and follow the tour — allow plenty of time because it is quite extensive. Each place you visit includes a photograph or illustration, along with text that explains what you are viewing and its historic significance, and you will find some interesting trivia facts about it as well.

If you don’t have time for the complete tour, look on the landing page for the Index. There, you will see a list of the places included on the tour. Click on any one to learn more about it.
