Today’s website was recommended by list member, Judy W. She said,

“I just found a great site for homeschooling parents. There is a “Teachers’ Corner” full of useful lesson plans. They have broken down the activities by subject (science, social studies, math, etc.) and age group.”

I decided to feature this site on “Electives” day at ClickSchooling because almost every lesson at this site includes arts & crafts activities. The lessons are designed for grades Pre K through 5, and include topics such as Black History Month, Honoring Our Presidents, Native American Day, Election Day, The World of Christopher Columbus, and other themed units based on seasons, holidays, and more.

When you get to the site you will see a menu of subjects and grade ranges. Click on any one and a list of lessons appears. Choose the one you like, and a new page opens with step-by-step instructions that explain to teachers and home teachers alike exactly what to say when introducing the lesson, background on the topic with links to additional information, and complete instructions for activities to reinforce the lesson.

When you are through exploring the lessons at the Teacher’s Corner, click on the menu bar at the top of the screen to explore other great ways to learn with kids including:

  • Crafts & Activities
  • Healthy Kids (includes Healthy Recipes)
  • Celebration Corner
