Grammar Ninja

Age Range: 8 and up (Grades 3 and up; children with parental supervision)

This website provides a fun game to help students develop a working knowledge of the parts of speech including nouns, verbs, adjectives, adverbs, articles, conjunctions, and prepositions.

When you get to the website, read the instructions on how to play the game. Then, select a level of play (from beginner to master).

As the game begins, you’ll be presented with sentences and asked to find various parts of speech. The game tracks the time you require to answer the questions, as well as any errors you make. If you make a mistake, the game board displays the correct answer.

There are three levels of play culminating in the title “Master Grammar Ninja.” Your kids will find playing this game is a whole lot more fun than drill and practice work – and I’ll bet some of you parents will have fun testing your grammar skills as well.
