A Dad, with a strong belief in the merits of learning through play, created this website/blog with good, old-fashioned, activities that help a child’s ability to focus and learn.

There are activities covering a variety of subjects including math, science, language arts, and more – laced with some parenting tips and strategies for learning.

When you get to this archived site, you’ll land on the “Math Games with Dice” page. There, you’ll find a menu of math dice games (from simple to advanced) that help kids learn addition, subtraction, multiplication, and exponents. You’ll just need a pair of dice to get started.

Also check out More Math Games with Dice” that require familiarity with the Mayan Numeric System. And yes, there’s a page on the site that teaches Mayan Numbers for Kids.”

We found the easiest way to access the terrific content at this site was to view the Site Map that lists the activity titles, making it easy to pinpoint games of interest to you and your family.

BEST OF ALL:  Don’t miss the Catapult Designs for Kids! You’ll find a variety of instructions for making catapults out of stuff you’ve got around the house including coffee cups, soda cans, egg cartons, soup cans, and more. The whole family can launch and learn for hours and hours of fun.
