Discover hundreds of lessons plans at this section of the larger Denver Art Museum website.

Use the left-hand sidebar menu to search for lessons based on age, resource type, period, 21st century skills, and Colorado Standards. Each lesson includes: 

  • Lesson – information needed for the lesson including intended age group, length of lesson, standards and objectives, instructions, and information about the artwork presented
  • Materials needed
  • Standards – both Colorado and 21st Century Skills
  • Related – addition similar available lesson plans

Use the search box to better refine your search when looking for a specific art medium or artist to see if there are any plans available. Some plans include downloadable supplements, links to related information, and links to recommended books. In the Resource Type menu, there is a link for videos that include artist interviews and discussions about specific art pieces.
