Step back in time to the turn of the century with this tour of a restored 1882 passenger freight depot in Grayling, Michigan and the other displays at the museum.

Through videos, images, and text the Crawford County Historical Society strives to share information about the county, its history, and what is included in the museum. Select any video or picture to begin your tour. Choose from such displays as:

  • The Depot
  • Lumber and logging displays
  • The Bear Archery manufacturing plant display
  • The Sheriff’s Display
  • The Trapper’s Wife
  • One Room Schoolhouse
  • General Store
  • Women’s Business Room
  • Seamstress Room
  • Medical Room
  • Saloon

When you have finished exploring the virtual museum, head back to the “Home” page and browse through the images on the sidebars to learn even more about days gone by in Michigan. And don’t forget to visit the “Train” page to see a video and images of the Pere Marquette 1225 Steam Engine, Algonquin Park, and the Lake State RR #3515 Diesel when they visited the depot.

This is a fun tour and a wonderful side trip in your state studies of Michigan.
