It’s Saturday, September 5, 2015, and time for Art at ClickSchooling!

Recommended Website:

Global Children’s Art Gallery (http://www.naturalchild.org/gallery/)

Age Range: All (All grades; children with parental supervision)

This website, sponsored by the Natural Child Project, presents an online gallery of children’s artwork. It is an absolute delight to view the colorful drawings of children from all over the world.

When you get to the site, look in the center of the webpage. There, you can click on the colorful number button that takes you to the most recent drawings that have been submitted to the site. Or, you can click on the “Random page” text link that will allow you to see drawings that have been submitted to this site since its inception. Each piece of art is accompanied by a picture of the flag of the country the child is from – and over 63 countries are represented, as well as information about the artist and artwork! This site provides a wonderful venue for encouraging the artist in your child. It may even motivate your little “Picasso” to submit their own drawing for all the world to see.

Don’t miss the list of recommended art books for children found in the upper menu under “Books”. There are titles covering everything from exploring art history with children to encouraging artistic expression in children – as well as how-to books that help families learn to draw and paint together.
