If you are looking for brief, accurate, and well-researched history accounts, then this website run by series editor and author Rupert Colley might just be the ticket. The site’s tag-line, “History for busy people” sums up the premise of this website’s purpose.
While the articles are written as blog posts, the search engine at the top of the page makes it easier to refine your search. You can also browse articles by the following topics found in the upper menu under “Blog”:
  • All
  • On this day in history. . . (currently doesn’t appear to be working properly)
  • American History
  • Black History
  • Book Reviews
  • Classical History
  • Cold War
  • Historical Writing
  • Historiography
  • History of Medicine
  • Inter-war Years
  • Ireland
  • Islam
  • Interviews with Historians
  • Medieval History
  • Nazi Germany
  • Royal History
  • Stuart Britain
  • Soviet Union/Russia
  • Tudors and Reformation
  • Victorian History
  • Women in History
  • World War II
  • World War I
Because the articles are quick reads and information is presented in an interesting way in bite size pieces, this is a good place for those with little time or who otherwise would moan over the thought of learning history. Most of the stories have accompanying images to enhance the story. While not your typical education resource, this website does a good job of keeping the readers’ attention and good place to go for those reluctant history students.
