It’s Friday, April 24, 2015, and time for a Virtual Field Trip at ClickSchooling!

Recommended Website:

Grant Ave: The School Bell

Age Range: 5-13 (Grades K-8, with parental supervision)

This site was designed specifically to give elementary grade students an introduction to San Francisco’s Chinatown.
When you get to the site, you will see photos of the entrance to Chinatown on Grant Avenue, along with some text that explains what you see. Below the pictures and text you will see the words “Next Slide.” To take this tour, just click on “Next Slide,” and a new page opens explaining another feature of Chinatown. You will also see a menu at the bottom of the screen that allows you to randomly choose places to visit in Chinatown – instead of taking the tour.

You will see and read explanations of Chinese New Year (and you can see a video clip of the New Year parade and celebration), a Fortune Cookie Factory, a Chinese pharmacy, and more.
