Most lessons provide instructional material, vocabulary or phrases of study, and audio MP3s. MP3s are of a native French speaker and can be downloaded for offline practice. Some lessons include simple-to-use audio flash card practice and interspersed throughout the lessons there are online multiple choice, matching or fill in the blank quizzes. After certain groups of lessons, there is a “Real French” icon available that provides additional comprehension practice with a listen and read format and the accompanying fill in the blank practice. The Informal French & Slang lessons include some video lessons. All lessons are in bite size pieces so students will not be overwhelmed with material.

If French is not your foreign language of choice, select the Languages option in the upper tool bar to find that this website also offers lessons for other Romance Languages, Germanic Languages, Slavic Languages, Non-Ino-European Languages, as well as American English (ESL Lessons).

We love this website for its straightforward and simple approach to language skills and we are sure you will too.
