December 7th is the day (in 1941) that the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor. At this website, you can watch a multi-media presentation by National Geographic that explains the events surrounding this tragic and historic event.

When you get to the site you’ll see an interactive map (turn on your speakers to hear the narration).

Click on the map to access an account of the attack on Pearl Harbor in Oahu, Hawaii, using real photos, footage, and first-hand accounts.

You’ll also find information on the ships and planes at Pearl Harbor, as well as a timeline of the attack on Pearl Harbor and the events of World War II.

This presentation is like taking a field trip back in time to December 7, 1941 that President Franklin D. Roosevelt said is, “a date which will live in infamy.”

This is a remarkable presentation that will provoke thought and discussion about U.S. and World history.
