A big THANK YOU to Dutch homeschooler and ClickScholar Pascale Hoek for recommending this non-profit website that provides FREE math lessons via YouTube video tutorials.

The founder of the website is Sal Khan, a Harvard graduate who also holds a Masters in electrical engineering and computer science, a BS in electrical engineering and computer science, and a BS in mathematics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Writing from the Netherlands, Pascale explained that the website is an archive of 700+ videos of mathematical lessons on a wide variety of topics. When you get to the website you’ll see the menu that includes:

  • Arithmetic
  • Singapore Math
  • Pre-Algebra
  • Algebra
  • Algebra II
  • Linear Algebra
  • Differential Equations
  • Geometry
  • Probability
  • Banking and Money
  • Credit Crisis
  • Finance
  • Pre-Calculus
  • Calculus
  • Trigonometry
  • Physics
  • SAT Preparation

Each topic has a menu of lessons. Click on any one and a new page opens where you can watch the video tutorial. Sal Khan has a knack for explaining the concepts clearly and uses a virtual blackboard for demonstration purposes.

Enjoy!
