Virtual Whale Watching

Have you always wondered what it would be like to go whale watching? This site provides a virtual whale watching experience. Climb aboard the cyber inflatable seacraft and join a whale watching expedition in the Juan de Fuca Strait near Victoria, British Columbia.

When you get to the site there are several pages you must click through to begin the tour — just follow the directions to the starting place. Then, sit back, relax and enjoy the open-sea excursion as you are treated to spectacular photos of wildlife. Each photo is accompanied by educational text with links to more information for further study. Some of the creatures you will learn about on this tour include killer whales, bald eagles, sea lions, gray whales, a Dall’s porpoise, and a harbor seal.

If you liked the virtual tour, the site encourages you to try the real thing. You can book a real whale watching excursion at this site too!
