This gets my vote for the best educational, interactive Geography site I have discovered on the Net this year! When you get to the site click on the “enter here” button. A new screen appears with a menu of geography games that you can play in a number of categories:
- Geo-Find — choose your skill level and locate countries, rivers, seas, mountains and more on the maps provided.
- Geo-Quest — ask 10 questions to discover the mystery animals from around the world.
- Geo-Tour — discover some of Earth’s most interesting landmarks.
- Geo-Seas — follow a maze to learn about the many properties of a large body of water.
- Geo-Adapt — find out how plants have adapted to exist in many kinds of environments.
- Geo-Layers — from the core to the exosphere discover all the layers of the Earth and its atmosphere through a matching game.
Some of the games offer levels from beginner to advanced player and so are suitable for all ages (non-readers will need assistance). When you answer a question incorrectly, you are offered options for learning more through links to places for further study. This is a terrific way to enhance any geography curriculum. Have fun!
