Continuing with our Holiday Curriculum…

The subjects of Government and History are incorporated in this…

Website Recommendation:
White House Kids — A Holiday Tail

At this site you will meet Spotty and Barney, the dog-pets of President and Mrs. Bush. They are amazed by the holiday decorations at The White House. Join them on a mini-tour as they attempt to find the “Big Room Tree.” This is a short presentation, that’s just right for little ones.

Older kids may enjoy taking “India’s History Quiz” at this site. (India is the Bush’s pet cat.)

When you finish the tour with Barney and Spotty, there is a link to a full, 360 degree, panoramic tour of all of the White House decorations including the many trees, the crèche, model presidential homes, and the White House made out of gingerbread! This will be much more satisfying for those who want to see complete images of the many holiday trees in the White House from top to bottom. Or, if you prefer, you can go directly to this complete tour of each room (scroll down and look at the menu on the right for links to the pages from previous years; the room tour is at the bottom of the 2001 page.)
